Meet Jess and Federica :)

Get to know us and the journey behind Unbound. We’ve always believed in the power of women gathering in the outdoors — and we’ve experienced firsthand how transformative those spaces can be. What began as being part of a like-minded community has grown into something of our own: a collective rooted in connection, courage, and shared experience.

Today, we’re proud to lead journeys that feel less like trips and more like coming home to a strong, supportive community.

Federica Riccadonna
Co-founder

Federica is a peace practitioner, sustainability advocate, and social entrepreneur with over twenty years of international experience working across Africa, South Asia, and Europe.

Her work sits at the intersection of regenerative tourism, human rights, and conflict transformation. As co-founder of Garima Voyage Travels, Tours & Treks, she has led sustainable travel initiatives that support local communities while protecting cultural and natural heritage. Through her initiative Garima – Passi di Pace, she develops outdoor-based programs for families and children focused on resilience, communication, and self-awareness.

Federica holds a Master’s degree in Institutions and Politics for Peace and Human Rights from the University of Padua and completed advanced training with Johan Galtung’s Transcend Peace University. She has collaborated with international peace institutes and NGOs in Nepal, deepening her expertise in mediation, community engagement, and non-violent conflict transformation.

At Unbound, Federica brings a grounded, practical approach to peace-building — not as an abstract ideal, but as a lived skill. She believes families and communities are the foundation of meaningful change, and that shared experiences in nature can cultivate empathy, courage, and responsibility in the next generation.

She builds bridges — between cultures, between theory and practice, and between challenge and care.

Jessica Amity
Co-founder, Photographer

Jessica is a photographer, expedition guide, and certified yoga teacher raised in the mountains of Nepal. Growing up in Kathmandu between Nepali culture and an international education gave her a rare cross-cultural perspective — grounded in place, yet globally aware.

For over a decade, she has worked as a freelance photographer and journalist documenting stories of resilience, adventure, and social change. From Everest Base Camp expeditions to humanitarian fieldwork, her work explores the strength of people living and leading in challenging environments. Through Jessica Amity Photography, she captures raw, human stories with honesty and depth.

Beyond the lens, Jessica guides women on transformative expeditions from the Himalayas to Antarctica with Women Want Adventure. With more than ten years of trekking and climbing experience across the Himalayas and Europe, plus first-response and outdoor leadership training, she brings calm authority and lived experience into the field.

As a certified Vinyasa and Pranayama teacher, she integrates breathwork and movement into her journeys — not as retreat-style add-ons, but as practical tools for grounding, clarity, and resilience.

Jessica believes the outdoors is both proving ground and mirror. Challenge builds strength. Stillness builds awareness. Shared experience builds trust.

At Unbound, she brings together storytelling, adventure, and embodied leadership — creating spaces where women and families can step into discomfort, rediscover confidence, and return home stronger than when they left.

More on this to come!
